Hitler used the Olympics to propagate the peace spirit apparently, but actually the Games became a tool for his political intention.
The great Olympic Venues and related facilities were the products of huge costs. The games also marked several “the first” in the Olympic history. The games were the first to have Olympic Town, torch relay, live television coverage. Florid shows were included in the Games. Therefore, t he 1936 Games were the model of the Modern Olympics . Also, they were the last Olympic Games before World War II . Although the Korean athlete Sohn Kee-chung won the marathon for Japan (Japan had annexed Korea in 1910), the Japanese athletes played an active part the games.
