From the Paris Olympics, participant countries increased and women began to take part in the games for the first time. In 1900, there was also a plan of having the Exposition Universelle in Paris , therefore the Games were held as part of the 1900 World's Fair . A famous episode in the Olympics was that a Dutch athlete had a French boy steered and won rowing event. The boy was probably the youngest medalist in the Olympic history.
